As of 12:01 am July 1st, Oregon officially ended cannabis prohibition as they joined Colorado, Washington state, Alaska and Washington D.C. in legalizing the recreational use of cannabis. Oregon will now embark on their journey of freedom.

Will Oregon follow Colorado’s post-legalization decline in the construction of prisons and suicide rates?  We think so.

Just like in Washington and Colorado, public consumption of cannabis is still illegal, but that did not stop Oregon’s cannabis users from having an awesome countdown to midnight and lighting up when the clock struck 12:00am. History has officially been made. Kudos to Oregon,  and thank you for setting an example for the rest of the nation!
